Literature Text

We often find in life
Those with enemies,
How horribly they strife
When not fully healed.

As they are blessed with minds
To store memories,
Yet it only reminds
Them of the destroyed.

Their happiness takes place
In the untouched past,
Which they'd like to erase
In order to live.

For these enemies are
Not the type to kill,
Since they left a good scar
Along with a depart.

Ah, but those people who are dwelling on the past (regardless of if it's bad or good) often end up bitter. Sometimes it's better to look to the future, having become stronger from the memories forged in the past. Erasing one's past, like what's suggested here, would be a mistake, but learning from one's past would help them to live with those memories and gain new ones. Those scars may run deep, but are scars all the same. It's the wounds which'll kill ya.
